![]() It doesn't appear that the foregriup is attached using any rail interface. I tried to find some info on how the original shroud was actually fitted to the gun, but i couldn't find anything. I would think that to get some stability and solid feel in this conversion you'd need to go all-metal, and probably, if you cannot find a good airsoft alternative you'd have to go for a real barrel shroud. No idea if a real MP5 magazine would fit. The motor is usually(?) located in the pistolgrip, not in the receiver. The only airsoft i've tinkered with was the Marui Mp5, removing the gears and motor was quite easy. Judging from imfdb Kaminsky uses, at least, 2 different Hk94's, one with older, slim handguards, and also one newer with the fat handguard. And also cut off/remove the paddle mag release. You would nee to modify the auto setting and change the pin attachment for a clip-on lower attachment. SEF style lowers are available for some airsoft models, for example: The fore grip should be pretty easy as all it would require would be a weaver rail and a fore grip. Has anyone had any experience doing this to an Airsoft? Any hints as to how to attach this heavy misfitted shroud to an Airsoft gun? I guess I would have to use some putty and a series of washers. The other plan is to use a real HK94 or other real gun shroud. Is there any liquid or putty substance that I can use to fill the shroud to make it strong and heavy? Are there any good vented “strong” Airsoft barrel extensions you can recommend? They are as thin as an aluminum soda can and filled with plastic foam. My problem has been that most Airsoft shrouds or fake suppressors feel like toys. I’d like to find an Airsoft shroud I know will fit. Can anyone recommend an Airsoft which will meet my needs? Cheap? It doesn’t have to function.Ĭan an Airsoft magwell take a real MP5 9mm magazine? (I’m guessing probably not.) My back up plan is to simply customize an Airsoft mag to fit just a few dummy 9mm rounds. The real challenge will be to find a Airsoft MP5 with the old style selector switch. Is it easy to remove an Airsoft AEG motor? At least the part which is visible when the fake bolt is back? I plan the use a real weight Airsoft MP5 for the frame and remove the motor to accommodate a real MP5 magazine to make it appear that a 9mm round in chambered when the fake bolt is drawn back. My questions regarding the parts needed are: The key differences in Schwarzenegger’s HK94 from an MP5 are (1) the long barrel with vented shroud (2) the fore grip (3) the old HK style selector switch. My goal is to build a model HK94 9mm like the one used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the film ‘Raw Deal.’ The HK94 became the American MP5 and was used even used in many American action movies such as ‘Die Hard’ and ‘Predator.’ HK94s currently sell (where legal) between $2000-$4000 USD. Following certain protocols in some states the HK94 could legally have its barrel shortened and be converted to full auto. Serious small arms collectors started eating these up as their only chance to get an MP5. ![]() (2) a ridiculously long barrel (3) the removal of the magazine release switch by the right side trigger finger. The only major changes were (1) a semi auto trigger system. ![]() I was surprisingly close to the original. The HK94 is a lot closer to the real MP5 SMG which sell for $25,000-$50,000 USD! The HK94 “carbine” 9mm was released in the 1980s as the civilian model of the MP5.
